Pop-Up Spill Barriers

In catastrophic spills or sprinkler releases, containing the fall in a single room or area can limit the costs associated with clean-up or facility damage. DENIOS US Pop-Up Spill Barriers protect those large spills by closing off any doorway or opening in the affected room at the first sign of flowing liquids.

Spill Barrier Product Description

The passive Pop-Up Spill Barrier works when a flow of liquid reaches the barrier; it’s collected into the sump that houses the barrier wall. As the volume of liquid increases, it displaces the wall from its horizontal position. The built-in mechanisms then bring the barrier to its full locked and upright position, containing or holding back the impending liquid.

In addition, the features of the Pop-Up Flood Barrier Include:

  • Solid welded stainless steel construction
  • Self-contained one piece system design
  • Fully automatic operation, no external power source required
  • Easy installation in existing doorways; stores horizontally in the floor, permitting unobstructed vehicular and personnel traffic until a spill occurs
  • While laying flat, Barrier provides up to 6.5 tons axle weight capacity
  • Designed to fit in doorways between 3 and 16 feet, with barrier heights of 12 to 24 inches (16‘ x 24“ not available)

Why choose a DENIOS Pop-Up Barrier?

When It Comes to Spills...

In businesses engaged in chemical storage, the ever-present risk of leaks and spills demands attention. To address this, the implementation of a Pop-Up Spill Barrier proves invaluable. This barrier can either be deployed to segregate incompatible substances within a sizable facility or effectively contain potential spills and sprinkler discharges at all entry points around the facility's perimeter.

Considering Floods...

Flood incidents can potentially inflict harm upon warehouses, equipment, and stored goods. Remarkably, over 80% of flood-related losses arise from floodwaters that measure less than 15 inches in height. An FM-Approved Pop-Up Flood Barrier can be installed on exterior doors to counter this issue. This strategic measure safeguards lower-level access points of a facility or adapts to changes in its design and utilization.

Exploring the Advantages:

-Requires no electricity or human intervention

-Engages instantaneously

-Provides a level doorway opening, free from obstructions

-Occupies no additional space as it is set flush with the floor

-Complies with relevant codes and regulations

-Helps minimize the potential impact of substantial insurance claims
